Seeing the Skimra in a New Light

Materials: Skimra, Smycka, Torka, Florera and packaging tape

Description: I turned the Skimra lamp shade into a vase. Take the Skimra lamp shade upside down. Remove the plastic cap on the metal frame. Start taping inside the lamp edge to edge securing it to the metal ring in the middle. Make sure there are not gaps. Once the whole inside is secured, cut out the tape from inside the metal ring and trim the edges clean.

Insert your Smycka and Torka in the metal ring, use tape or packaging to make sure there are no gaps between the leaves and the metal ring or your rocks will fall through. Scatter the Florera rocks and put in place.

If this goes in a high traffic area you might want to attach some sort of weight inside on the bottom, since its a bit top heavy. Mine is fine without doing this though. TA DA

Hanging Candle Tray

Materials: Florera 29cm a keyring and some chain

Description: For this hack we're gonna use the boring dish candle tray Florera and transform it into a ceiling hanging candle tray

Let's start by getting the following items
1x Florera candle tray
2x Keyrings (1 is optional)
1x about 2-3 meters of decoration chain (found at local hardware store / jrnia)

For my design im gonna make a 3 link connection. (you could make 4 or more depending on style and preference)

Start by flipping the tray over.

Mark out 3 dots to drill anchor holes the holes should be about 1 cm from the outer edge depending on your chain size use a suitable drillbit size (the 3 feet are excellent location guides)

Remove the feet from underneath

Cut the chain in 4 pieces, 3 pieces should be about the length of 30-40 cm (depending on preference)

Connect one end of each chain to one of the keyrings keyrings (all 4 of them)

Using a plier open up 1 link at the end of the 3 chains of equal length, carefully attach each hole on the dish and close the chainlink

Cut the remaining 4th link at desired length from the roof and attach the second keyring.

From trash to tea table

Materials: Florera candle dish

Description:
I think this was once an ashtray, but the tray part was missing when some jerk dumped it by the side of the road. Those cherubs looked so irresistibly tacky that I knew I just had to do something with it.

I found an 18 inch stainless steel Florera candle dish at half price at Ikea (I think they are discontinued). I drilled a hole in the middle, and voila : instant conversation starter! It also makes a serviceable table for my teapot and cups (It's more stable than it might look).
